Forty-two families received free health screenings for the first time. Early detection of critical cases likely prevented long-term harm.
On a warm April morning, the courtyard of the Amul Block community hall was filled with residents — many of whom had never had a formal health screening in their lives. IQUZ Galaxy Trust, in partnership with three local doctors and a diagnostics team, organised a full-day free health camp for the area.
By the end of the day, forty-two families had been screened. The medical team identified several cases of undiagnosed hypertension, two cases requiring urgent ophthalmic care, and several children with nutritional deficiencies. Each case was referred directly to appropriate care, with the Trust facilitating follow-up appointments.
"Most people here hesitate to go to a hospital unless the situation is very serious," said one of the attending physicians. "Early detection like this can prevent so much harm." The Trust plans to organise these camps on a quarterly basis going forward.
Your support helps us run more camps, reach more villages, and get people the care they need before a condition becomes a crisis.
